About ADAFSA
ADAFSA has long been at the forefront of ensuring food safety and sustainability in the UAE’s agricultural industry. Their work has significantly impacted food security, agricultural innovation, and environmental sustainability. However, what sets ADAFSA apart is their unwavering commitment to elevating the role of women in agriculture. Through various initiatives, the authority has empowered women to take on leadership roles in agriculture, promoting their active involvement in both policy-making and the development of agricultural practices.
The authority’s women-centric programs focus on providing education, support, and leadership opportunities for women in agriculture, helping them overcome the unique challenges they face in this traditionally male-dominated field. These initiatives have not only contributed to the personal and professional growth of women but have also brought about positive transformations in the broader agricultural landscape of the UAE.
ADAFSA’s leadership in advancing women’s roles in agriculture aligns with the UAE’s broader vision of fostering gender inclusivity across all sectors. The authority’s continuous efforts are essential in breaking down barriers for women and ensuring they are recognized as key drivers of agricultural innovation and sustainability.
At the AgriNext Conference 2024, held on 13-14 November in Dubai, ADAFSA’s work was celebrated among other groundbreaking achievements in the agricultural sector. The event brought together thought leaders, innovators, and experts to explore the future of agriculture and the role of technology in shaping its progress.
