David Bell manages two exceptional family farming businesses in East Central Scotland, recognized for their excellence and innovation in agriculture. His accomplishments have earned him prestigious awards, including the National Arable and Grassland Awards’ Cereal Grower of the Year 2024 and Farm Manager of the Year 2022.
Under David’s leadership, J.C Bell Ltd and Fairfield Farms have forged significant partnerships with notable names in the food and beverage industry. The Aberdeen Angus beef produced by his farms is supplied to major retailers such as Marks and Spencer, Aldi, and McDonald’s. His barley, with a record-breaking yield of 14.3 tons per hectare, is used in the production of renowned whiskies like The Macallan and Johnnie Walker. Additionally, much of the farm’s potato production is featured on the shelves of Tesco, the UK’s largest retailer.
