FOOD MILES LAB

Our mission is to revolutionize agriculture by establishing a Circular Economy that transforms waste into valuable resources. By recycling oyster shell waste, we produce high-quality organic fertilizers and an innovative sunburn prevention solution for crops. Our goal is to add value to specialty crops, fruit trees, and organic producers while dramatically reducing environmental impact. Through advanced technology, we create a calcium carbonate-based liquid sunburn prevention agent from discarded oyster shells, utilizing seaweed alginate for a sunlight-activated cross-linking reaction that minimizes the need for multiple applications, all without leaving any residue.
In our commitment to sustainability, we actively reduce our carbon footprint by upcycling waste materials and focusing on the development of environmentally responsible products. Our ongoing research and development efforts are bolstered by collaborations with leading agriculture experts in Long Island, NY, Napa Valley, CA, and Cornell University. We invite farmers, investors, sustainability advocates, and industry experts to connect with us as we work together to create a more sustainable and efficient agricultural landscape.
