Mr. Nikhilesh Kumar is a seasoned professional with 18+ years of experience. Currently, he is the Co-founder and CEO at Vassar Labs, where he is at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI/ML, remote sensing, GenAI, IoT, and space technology to tackle grassroots problems of the primary sector, which includes agriculture, water, energy, environment, etc. He achieves this by providing data-driven decision-support intelligence to both government authorities and industries.

One of his notable contributions is his work in developing the Agriculture Information System, which promotes remote sensing and AI to understand crop growth monitoring, early season drought, crop loss assessment, weather-related forecasting, crop damage, pest infestations, crop insurance, etc. This empowers both policymakers and farmers, adding to socio-economic benefits. Apart from this Mr. Nikhilesh has been significantly leading Vassar Labs with innovative solutions for large-scale water management, dam operations, and urban water management projects. He has also dedicated hands-on application for disaster risk mitigation that includes the development of flood forecasting and early warning systems.

Mr. Nikhilesh is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur with a BTech (Hons) specializing in Instrumentation Engineering and has done his MBA from ISB Hyderabad.
