We are excited to announce that Samira Alam, Founder and CEO of Farmia IoT, will be joining the AgriNext Conference 2025 as a Featured Speaker on 05–06 November 2025 at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre.

Samira Alam’s journey is a remarkable blend of engineering, finance, insurance, and innovation. She obtained her BSc (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and her Master’s in Satellite and Radio Communication from King’s College London. She began her career with a year of training at Tyser & Co, an insurance and reinsurance broker and underwriting company for Lloyds Bank Plc, UK.

She then transitioned into investment banking, where she worked for several years at leading global institutions including Goldman Sachs and Nomura International. Over the course of her career, Samira has built an impressive client base that includes Reuters, Bloomberg, Lloyds Bank Plc, Barclays Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, European Space Agency, London Stock Exchange, New York Stock Exchange, Deutsche Bank, and BP Oil.

Alongside her corporate achievements, Samira has pursued her passion for mathematics, serving as an adjunct lecturer in applied and business mathematics at the American University of Iraq, Suleymani, inspiring students with practical insights drawn from her professional expertise.

Today, as a visionary leader, Samira brings together her experience across finance, insurance, and IoT to tackle one of the most pressing challenges in global agriculture: closing the microinsurance gap across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Through her leadership at Farmia IoT, she is committed to developing inclusive, technology-driven solutions that empower farmers, strengthen resilience, and promote sustainable growth.

At AgriNext 2025, Samira will share her expertise on how financial innovation, insurance, and IoT technologies can transform agriculture, ensuring smallholder farmers have access to tools that reduce risks and unlock opportunities for growth.
