Felipe Isaí Barreto Velarde
Felipe Isaí Barreto Velarde works at the intersection of agronomy, AI, and large-scale operations. At Heliopas.ai GmbH, he helps build and scale RiverFox, a practical decision-support app that blends satellite vegetation indices, localized meteorology, and crop/phenology models to plan irrigation, log field activities, and produce audit-ready evidence for sustainability programs. Felipe’s path spans plant-nutrition and digitalization advisory since 2017, including research on nutrient availability and water–nutrient efficiency, and AI implementation in complex manufacturing systems since 2020—deploying computer-vision quality inspection and integrating with industrial connectors across multi-plant environments. This dual track—farming and factory floors—shapes his approach to trustworthy AI: start from real workflows, quantify value, then scale. He holds an M.Sc. in Agricultural Science from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and has worked across Europe, Mexico with growers, research institutions, and industry partners to align agronomic best practices with transparent, data-backed sustainability.
