As CEO of Carolina Seed Farm, Nimmer oversees the operations, finances, and compliance of one of South Carolina’s leading agricultural businesses. Her role as Director of Business Operations at Nimmer Turf Farm further solidifies her position as a key player in the industry.
At Nimmer Turf, she manages the recruitment, training, and supervision of over 60 foreign seasonal labourers, ensuring their safety, well-being, and productivity throughout their ten-month stay. Nimmer’s commitment to maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies has been instrumental in delivering high-quality products and services to the market.
In addition to her leadership roles at Carolina Seed Farm and Nimmer Turf Farm, Nimmer serves as the Executive Director for the South Carolina Sod Producers Association and is a Leadership Fellow for Turf Producers International. These roles highlight her influence and dedication to advancing the agricultural industry, both locally and internationally.
Nimmer’s journey into the farming industry was preceded by her time at Barclays Investment Bank in New York City, where she completed the HR Graduate Program. This experience provided her with a deep understanding of human resources, leadership, and talent development.
She worked with diverse and global teams, directing projects that supported the bank’s strategic goals and culture. Nimmer’s background in HR has proven invaluable in her current roles, where she applies her knowledge to improve team functionality and drive business success.
Nimmer’s academic background is equally impressive. She holds a B.S. in International Business and Management from the University of South Carolina, with a minor in French. As one of only five Americans selected for the inaugural International Business Education Alliance, she gained international experience in Germany, Singapore, and Brazil, where she advised on business strategy, technology implementation, and conducted research in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Nimmer Turf Farm, under her direction, has grown to become the southeastern United States’ leading sod farm. Founded in 1985 by Frederick Nimmer, Jr., the farm now includes over 3,000 acres of production, offering eight varieties of premium turfgrass. Nimmer Turf Farm prides itself on its commitment to quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction.
