About Cavit Polat
Cavit Polat is an ambitious student at Yeditepe University, where he is pursuing a degree in Agricultural Trade and Management with a minor in E-Commerce and Management. Throughout his academic journey, Cavit has been dedicated to merging agriculture with technology, focusing on the development of sustainable practices and innovative solutions that address the evolving challenges of the agricultural sector.
As the co-founder and R&D Manager of AGRKitchen, a student-led initiative within Yeditepe University, Cavit has successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in greenhouse management and crop cultivation. AGRKitchen is committed to advancing good agricultural practices, plant nutrition techniques, and integrated pest management, while also conducting research on cutting-edge hydroponic systems such as NFT (Nutrient Film Technique), DWC (Deep Water Culture), and Aquaponics. Operating on a non-profit basis, AGRKitchen’s mission is centered around learning, innovation, and the pursuit of sustainable agricultural solutions.
Cavit’s professional experience is equally impressive. During his long-term internship at MOYAGRO, he played a key role in optimizing platform features such as supply chain management, QR code tracking, and real-time data integration. His contributions significantly enhanced the efficiency of agricultural operations and promoted sustainable farming practices. Currently, Cavit is further honing his expertise in vertical farming as a Research and Development Intern at the Istanbul Indoor Vertical Farming Application Center. In this role, he is also the Founder and CEO of ARB’S, a pioneering venture focused on improving urban farming systems to enhance food security and sustainability.
Cavit’s extensive skill set spans across commodity markets, agricultural statistics, import/export management, procurement, sales management, digital marketing, Salesforce E-CRM, and social media marketing. This broad range of expertise enables him to tackle complex challenges within the agricultural sector, offering innovative solutions that drive progress and sustainability.
Earlier in his career, Cavit served as an Executive Assistant during an internship at Tabit Agricultural Information and Communication Technologies, where he contributed to projects aimed at improving farmers’ livelihoods through access to innovative technologies. This experience provided him with a deep understanding of the needs of farmers and the importance of technology in enhancing agricultural productivity.
In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Cavit has been an active Event Coordinator for Yeditepe University’s Environment and Ecology Club. In this role, he organized and led events that combined creativity with environmental responsibility, such as workshops and sustainable agriculture initiatives, fostering a greater awareness of environmental issues among participants.
Cavit’s commitment to the agricultural sector is further demonstrated by his certifications in areas such as Soilless Farming, Gamification Design, and Metaverse Technologies. He is eager to continue developing his skills in blockchain, data analysis, and interpretation, with the goal of contributing to the future of agriculture through innovative and sustainable solutions.
His leadership, teamwork, and discipline were honed during a 7-year football career in the Galatasaray youth academy, where he developed the qualities that now underpin his professional success. Cavit is a well-rounded and forward-thinking individual, poised to make significant contributions to the agricultural industry through his dedication, knowledge, and innovative spirit.
