Dr. Rajesh Perianayagam, Ph.D., is the Founder and CEO of Karyosoft Inc., an in-house, no-code agrigenomics software company based in Carmel, Indiana, USA. With more than 30 years of “R&D to revenue” experience spanning academia and industry, he combines deep scientific expertise with entrepreneurial leadership to bridge the gap between biologists and bioinformatics. His passion lies in transforming complex, code-intensive genomics into accessible, secure, and scalable software solutions that accelerate innovation in agriculture.

Before founding Karyosoft, Dr. Perianayagam held key roles at Roche Diagnostics and Dow AgroSciences, where he advanced next-generation sequencing applications across diverse corn and sorghum breeding programs. His earlier academic career at the USDA-ARS, Washington State University, and the University of Missouri focused on molecular genetics and genomics of crop improvement in chickpea, lentil, pea, and soybean, resulting in more than 25 peer-reviewed publications.

A recognized innovator and thought leader, Dr. Perianayagam has represented Karyosoft at 20+ national and international conferences and earned multiple awards, including Top 50 AgriStartup, Top 100 Biotech Company, 30 AgriStartups to Watch, and Best Indiana Software Company. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the University of Pune, India.
