  • Herbalist, Tour guide, and Ambassador for agroecological transitions.

Creator of L'Herbe Folle: medicinal plants that create ecosystems. Production and processing of medicinal plants into alcoholate, gemmotherapy, oily macerates, infusions, and gourmet products. The plants come from experimental orchards where medicinal plants are combined with fruit trees and vines in companion or synergistic agriculture. Designed according to the principles of wild agriculture and the Emilia Hazelip method: permaculture, agroforestery, regenerative hydrology... these places are above all places for the study, observation, and promotion of ecosystem services. For more than 10 years, I have passionately practiced my profession as a tour guide. I have been able to show visitors castles and venture into the depths of prehistoric caves to marvel at the paintings left by our ancestors. My garden was my place of vacation, rest, meditation... and experimentation! In 2021, while working in the Villars Cave, the best-studied cave in France, notably thanks to a partnership with paleoclimatologist Dominique Genty, I discovered the synthesis of more than 30 years of measurements: the cave's temperature had increased by more than one degree in 30 years. A lifelong enthusiast of market gardening, permaculture, and wild and medicinal plants, I chose to become a peasant herbalist and cultivate plants for the benefit of nature and people. The goal is simple: to use medicinal plants to protect fruit trees and vines and improve soil fertility. By planting aromatic and medicinal plants in the heart of orchards and vineyards, we could recreate true ecosystems. Before being used as medicinal plants, these plants will serve as shelters and insect hotels. Their presence will encourage the establishment of pest predators, increase pollination and thus fruit production, and repel pests. Combined with Natural Preparations of Low Concern or fermented liquid manures and extracts, this service can improve soil fertility and promote agricultural cooperation. Ultimately, I would like to support apple and wine growers in Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrénées by planting my medicinal plants in the heart of orchards and vineyards. The first partnerships with farmers were launched this year: creation of forest gardens, restoration of fruit hedges and creation of ecological compensation plans within the framework of the installation of photovoltaic panels, support for herds and creation of resilient zero-treatment orchards. My project ultimately led me to welcome swarms of wild black bees into a conservation beekeeping project. Their role in pollination as well as their relationship with solitary and wild bees is one of my research interests.
