Named one of 100 young Mandelas of the future by News24, Masabata Sebusi is a 27 year from the Free State who is passionate about building sustainable communities and changing lives. She is an entrepreneur, speaker and a leader. She holds a Bcom Accounting degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning Law both from the University of the Free State. Her love for entrepreneurship was sparked when she joined Enactus in University. This was where she co-founded her first enterprise and learned valuable lessons that have helped her mature as a leader. She runs an agribusiness that facilitates access to market for small holder farmers from marginalized communities. The company has made huge strides within just a few months of launching. It launched a female farmer accelerator programme that aims to empower these farmers with skills and insights that will enable them to grow and scale their business. For her, being a change agent believes using the skills she has gained to improve the lives of those around her. She is the African ambassador for World Business Dialogue and the Womenboss society. Masabata has received national and international recognition from News24, UFS Built, Mail & Guardian, BrandAfrica, Business day TV, Women of Wonder and her latest recognition SheAwards Agripreneur of the year under 30 in 2023. She believes that young people play a critical role in building our society and is committed to improving lives and creating real impact through the work she does.
