Xander is driven by his passion for creating new paths in complex issues in a multi stakeholder environment. Simultaneously taking further steps in transition or transformation processes with these players brings him satisfaction. Certainly and especially if that happens together with new generations, as he shows with his cooperative I4NATURE that he founded, together with others within the domain of climate-related challenges. Whether it takes place within a specific regional process, internationally or between different sectors, he quickly finds his way and strategy to take steps for change together with others. Xander developed him self as an agricultural engineer at Wageningen University, specializing in energy technology and process technology. After graduating, he gained a lot of experience at the Ministry of Agriculture , Nature and Food quality in The Netherlands in various positions and where he was able to place his experience at a mixed farm since his teenage years, in a larger context. He discovered that his powers are to achieve results with people within and between organizations. He is studying how different systems work within the agricultural sector, such as education, the labor market, politics and government at various levels (from local municipality to the UN). Since 2012 he has been doing business with his organization I4NATURE, with which he followed up on a youth-program at the same Ministry. Later this became a cooperative. He has developed various programs and activities, set up international collaborations, among others. within agriculture and food domain aimed at a rapidly changing world and making room for new generations. Xander has full filled crucial roles and still does ao. Working with Taskforce for Rural Africa, Youth Alliance 4 Zero Hunger, Round table for Responsible Soye (board member), Consultation Forum on Sustainable Energy in Defense and Security Sector, Xanda Farms (board member), Next generation ag impact network (co-initiator and board member), Youth world food day & Youth World Milk day (initiator), Agri meets Design (co-initiator), Experience and transformation economy (expert). Where his activities and knowledge can slowly blossom together with the continued growth of the company ‘Our space’ with its environment without growing in the number of cows. Searching together for a form that is fitting with principles of generative agriculture and values of landscape of rural area with activities with relating to the human factor. As a Nuffield 2023 scholar he is doing research on the potential of learning networks for future proof agriculture.
