With over three decades of experience spanning rainfed and irrigated crop production systems, agricultural R&D, and feasibility studies, Dr. Halim is a leading voice in agricultural transformation in the MENA region. His career reflects an unwavering commitment to integrating innovative technologies that enhance both productivity and sustainability.

From heading the West Asia regional office of ICARDA to founding and leading the Tunisian National Field Crops Applied Research Institute (INGC), Dr. Halim’s impact spans borders and institutions. His strategic insights and scientific leadership have significantly shaped regional food systems.

Currently, Dr. Halim serves as Director of the Technical Support Department at the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID). In this role, he oversees the evaluation and application of over 40 years of accumulated agricultural expertise, providing tailored technical support to AAAID-affiliated companies and guiding sustainable investment in agriculture.
