Jordan Herring: Excellence in Genetic Advancements in Agriculture

Jordan Herring, founder and CEO of Hidden Valley Genetics (HVG), has been recognized for his exceptional contributions to the agricultural sector, receiving the prestigious “Excellence in Genetic Advancements in Agriculture” award. Under his leadership, HVG has grown to become the largest clone provider in Asia, a testament to his groundbreaking work in cannabis genetics and his passion for agricultural innovation.

About Jordan Herring

Jordan’s journey into agriculture began in the cannabis industry in 2003 when he cultivated his first crop in Eugene, Oregon. However, his path was anything but traditional. In the years before his foray into cannabis, Jordan lived in Thailand, where he trained and fought professionally in Muay Thai under the renowned Ajarn Yodtong at the Sityodtong camp in Pattaya. His time in Thailand, from 2007 to 2010, allowed him to cultivate resilience and discipline, qualities that would later define his approach to agriculture.

Upon returning to California, Jordan combined his passion for martial arts and cannabis, founding his first cannabis collective in 2010. With over 330 patients under his care, he helped cultivate medical cannabis in various commercial facilities across the state. In 2012, he opened a Muay Thai gym in San Diego, which still operates today, producing champions while also supporting fighters and veterans with employment opportunities in the cannabis industry.

However, the pivotal moment in Jordan’s career came in 2018 with the passing of the Federal Hemp Farm Bill. This legislation allowed him to become a licensed seed breeder and geneticist, which opened the door for him to explore the full potential of cannabinoids. This milestone led to the founding of Hidden Valley Genetics, where he focused on the research and development of new cannabis genetics.

Under Jordan’s direction, HVG has made remarkable advancements, particularly in the development of a cannabis strain boasting an impressive 18.35% CBG content. His dedication to genetic research and sustainable agricultural practices has positioned HVG as a leader in the field, earning the company recognition not only for its size but also for its innovation.

As the largest clone provider in Asia, HVG continues to expand its impact on the global agricultural landscape. Jordan Herring’s work exemplifies the kind of innovative thinking and dedication to genetic advancements that drive the future of agriculture. His vision will continue to inspire future generations of agricultural professionals as they tackle the challenges and opportunities in this evolving industry. The AgriNext Awards & Conference 2024 in Dubai spotlighted Jordan Herring’s accomplishments, and the upcoming AgriNext Awards in London promises to further highlight the transformative work of leaders like him in agriculture.
