With over 15 years in the animal nutrition sector, Ricardo’s extensive background encompasses a range of industries, including automotive and retail, providing him with a unique perspective on value chains and digital enablement.

In his role at Algiecel, Ricardo is at the forefront of efforts to produce sustainable, nutrient-rich ingredients by utilising captured industrial CO2 to grow microalgae through advanced modular photobioreactors. This innovative approach not only addresses the urgent need for sustainable food sources but also contributes to reducing carbon emissions, positioning Algiecel as a leader in the circular bioeconomy.

Before joining Algiecel, Ricardo served as the Strategic Marketing Director at AB Agri, where he successfully implemented a five-year strategic plan focused on technology innovation. At Cargill Animal Nutrition, he played crucial roles in shaping the company’s digital solutions and developing effective commercial strategies for the Iberian market. His diverse experience equips him with the insights necessary to drive transformation in the agriculture sector.
