Florentine Zieglowski is co-founder of RESPECTfarms. RESPECTfarms is a cultivated meat company that pioneers the first cellular agriculture farm to sustainably produce meat directly from animal cells. With her political and commercial background, she leads the research team and advances on investor and partner relationships. Besides, Florentine Zieglowski is founding member at the Task Force New Feed & Food at the German farmers union DLG e.V. to weave scientific research and strategic innovation to cultivate sustainable in-house farming practices. As part of setting up a sustainable new food system, Florentine also co-develops the global network of cellular agriculture (NCA), distributing transparent and independent information to key policy stakeholders to advocate in favour of products from cellular agriculture. RESPECTfarms enables farmers and food producers to create business opportunities with producing meat directly from animal cells. Cultivated meat is produced using tissue engineering techniques pioneered in regenerative medicine. This production method eliminates the need to raise and farm animals for food. RESPECTfarms repurposes existing farm infrastructures into cultivated meat facilities, ensuring that the protein transition happens faster, cost-effective, and more practical. This transition enhances farmers' livelihoods through a more sustainable business model.
