Jim Redmond
Jim Redmond has over 40 years of systems-based leadership at the interface of agricultural investment, environmental stewardship, and agricultural production. His leadership is with stakeholders at all levels to develop “common sense” systems that are implementable, flexible, and sustainable. As an agriculture consultant and farm manager, he has extensive experience across the Western US, Latin America, Central Asia, Southern Asia, and Oceania. During the last 15 years, Jim has managed agricultural farm assets for institutional investors across the Western US, with assets under management exceeding $500 million. He was responsible for identifying and managing farm assets to optimize clients’ returns while also managing farm tenants, CAPEX, and farm asset integrity. Prior to his role in agricultural farm asset management, he consulted at the field level. This consulting provided environmental solutions to capture traditional agricultural “waste streams” for beneficial use, usually generating secondary income. He holds a master’s degree in production agriculture from Colorado State University and a bachelor’s in production agriculture from the University of Wyoming. He also holds an Accredited Farm Manager Designation from the ASFMRA, a Certified Crop Advisor Designation from the American Society of Agronomy, and is a Lifetime Member of Leadership Idaho Agriculture. Jim currently operates a consulting firm, Agricultural Systems International, LLC, that provides a systems-based approach to production agriculture, environmental stewardship, and farm asset management.
