As the CEO of Carolina Seed Farm and Director of Business Operations at Nimmer Turf Farm, Meccay oversees the operations of two thriving agricultural enterprises in South Carolina, USA. With over 3,000 acres dedicated to premium turfgrass cultivation, Nimmer Turf Farm is the southeastern United States’ leading sod provider. Meccay’s leadership ensures the delivery of exceptional quality products while maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies. Her commitment to excellence and integrity has been instrumental in the farm’s growth and reputation.

A significant aspect of Meccay’s leadership involves the management of a diverse workforce. Each year, she supervises over 60 seasonal laborers, focusing on their recruitment, training, safety, and well-being. Her dedication to fostering a supportive and productive work environment has been crucial to maintaining the farm’s operational efficiency.

Meccay’s journey into agriculture is complemented by her diverse background. Before joining the farming industry, she honed her expertise in human resources through Barclays Investment Bank’s HR Graduate Program in New York City. This experience equipped her with skills in leadership development, data analytics, and strategy execution.

Her passion for technology and innovation is rooted in her academic journey. A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in International Business and Management, Meccay was among the inaugural members of the International Business Education Alliance. This unique program provided her with opportunities to study and work globally, including in Germany, Singapore, and Brazil. During this time, she collaborated on projects exploring business strategy, technology implementation, and advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
