With over 15 years of experience in the animal nutrition industry and a robust background in corporate and commercial strategy, Ricardo Daura is a dynamic leader known for driving innovation. Holding a degree in Economics, an MBA, and further qualifications in corporate strategy and digital transformation, Ricardo has consistently delivered transformative solutions across multiple sectors, including automotive and retail.

In his current role at Algiecel, Ricardo leads initiatives to produce sustainable, nutrient-rich ingredients using cutting-edge technology. Algiecel’s advanced modular photobioreactors harness captured industrial CO2 to grow microalgae, exemplifying a circular bioeconomy approach. By transforming emissions into valuable resources, Ricardo and his team are paving the way for sustainable, low-carbon ingredient production that balances environmental and economic priorities.

Before joining Algiecel, Ricardo served as Strategic Marketing Director at AB Agri, where he successfully implemented a five-year strategic plan centred on technological innovation. His tenure at Cargill Animal Nutrition saw him spearhead the development of the ruminants and digital solutions categories, and commercial strategies tailored to the Iberian market. Ricardo’s vision and expertise have consistently driven advancements in agriculture, positioning him as a global leader in sustainable practices.
